Disability Awareness Day

Airospring is proud to be supporting Disability Awareness Day (DAD) on the 10th July in Warrington. It’s the world’s largest non-profit volunteer-led disability exhibition and we’re so happy to be involved. We’re there with 249 other exhibitors, showcasing our range of products - we’re excited to see what else is on show at the event. The aim of the event is a noble one, we feel; to show what disabled people can do, rather than focussing on what they can’t do.

The aims of DAD:

  • To highlight and promote the various statutory, private and volunteer services which are available to help keep disabled people independent.
  • To showcase equipment and aids that can improve the life quality and independence of people with disabilities. For example, Airospring’s range of pressure relief cushions.
  • To demonstrate what disabled people can achieve, in the fields of sport, arts and entertainment.

Here at Airospring, we are firm believers in promoting and helping to improve the independence of people with disabilities. Our products are designed to make life more comfortable and healthy for those who use wheelchairs for extended periods of time, giving them one less thing to worry about. We can’t wait to see all of the other equipment and aids that will be on show at the event.

We will have a stand where we will be showing off our range of wheelchair cushions, back supports and mattress overlays all made from Airospring's patented 3D fabric technology. This technology has been years in the making - we worked hard to make sure that our material worked as well as it possibly could and was entirely safe. We use three layers of fabric which each bring their own advantages, to make a 3D layer cushion that has a range of excellent properties, such as breathability, non-allergenic and support. Our cushions are designed to make sitting/lying down for long periods comfortable and healthy.

Airospring is leading the way with 3D Spacer fabrics replacing foam products for pressure area care. The Airospring products are designed with your health and wellbeing in mind.

The event is chocked full of fun activities to do and entertainment to watch:

  • Scuba diving
  • Football, rugby and sit down volleyball
  • Inflatable space hopper races
  • National Small Bore Rifle Association target shooting
  • Martial arts
  • Guide dog displays
  • Several musical acts
  • Much, much more!

We’re really looking forward to it and we hope we’ll see you there, too. See http://www.disabilityawarenessday.org.uk for more details.
